Hotel & Lodging Pathway

In this pathway, students learn what it takes to operate a lodging facility and care for the guests who use those facilities, either through direct guest contact or background services that enhance the guest experience.

Stride Career Prep* has implemented project-based learning (PBL) to hone students’ problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills. The curriculum in this pathway includes hotel and restaurant management, marketing, and human resources and is taught by experienced professionals from the business world.

Lodging Manager

Lodging managers ensure that traveling guests have a pleasant experience at their establishment with accommodations. They also ensure that the business is run efficiently and profitably. Because hotels are open 24 hours a day, evening and weekend work is common. Most lodging managers work full time and are often on call.
